NHL 2010-11

Glad it's hockey season again.  Firstly, lol @ the Devils playing with only 15 skaters.  Second, lol @ the Devils.

I'm not worried yet, way too early.  It has been a disappointing start to the season.  I have a feeling Boston can return to prominence this year.  But yeah, I'm just happy it's hockey season again, especially with Penn State football being in the crapper already.

Columbus>>>>> :hadouken:      :nos:   <<<<<Philly

Still only 2 points ahead of my abysmal Devils team, I declare the above lulz premature.  All trolling, flaming, and bias aside, take a look at the standings around the league.  There's quite a bit of "What the fuck are they doing there?" stuff going on.  Nashville? Tampa? Dallas? The Isles?!!!  Toronto and Minnesota also get honorable mentions.  Just plain weird.

I agree, this year's NHL is all ass backwards.  Although I'll still :nelson: at Kovalchuck because he's an overpayed pretty boy.

So far the Jody Shelley and Zherdev moves have been two of the worst players I've seen wear the Orange and Black.  We could effectively get rid of both and still have the loot to keep Gagne around.

I could have taken or left Kovulchuk, I was more excited about Arnott returning and the defensive signings in the off season.  It isn't just Kovulchuk, nothing's working right now.  Knowing hockey, specifically Lamoriello, coach MacLean is probably on the hot seat already.  Every year it's the same stuff: "We're going to play more offensively" and "Backup goaltender X was brought in to keep Brodeur fresh for the postseason",  it's beginning to smack of crying wolf.  I'm gonna have to start getting belligerent toward my team if things don't start turning around.  I'd be fine if this were a rebuilding phase, but there's no excuse for that roster to be the pushovers they've been so far.

At least the NFL has been providing me with some LOL's with the Cowboys and Vikings shitting the bed.  The NFL's media saturation makes me ill, and the Favre (sp? eh, who cares) media circus every summer makes want to fucking pistol whip him and ESPN's NFL coverage team.  You have no idea how much I want this picture message thing to erupt into a full blown, Tiger Woods, look how the mighty have fallen scandal.  Then maybe he'll slink away into the annals of history with a tarnished reputation and having thrown more picks than TD's his last season.  Sound harsh? Fuck 'em, don't send pictures of your cock to people who aren't your wife.

Sorry about the off topic, just wanted to get that out there  :)

If he wasn't on the hot seat before I can't imagine John MacLean not being on it now.  Brodeur is 38, but apparently everyone on that team turned 65 this this season, so he's fine :banghead:
Also Pittsburgh might want to think about Brent Johnson as a starting goalie; it would appear the Flower has wilted.  That 2nd goal the Flyers scored against him was terrible.  He was in position with his pads down and still let it through.  I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure that's sloppy goaltending.  Heard I missed seeing some pretty good rumbles in that game.

Flyers got a nice streak going on. Looks like they finally got their shit together and are keeping it together and lol at DiPietro (Islanders Goalie).

Although in his defense, their coach should have pulled him. That was a dick move not to
