That was a crazy shake up, apparently Holmgren was crying when he had to call Carter and Richards!

That term for Bryzgallolaoijahov is ridiculous, Flyers can't do anything right when it comes to goalies.

Agreed on both counts.  I was fine with Carter moving out, but Richie?  Shit.

They are apparently the center of lockerroom drama, so it was to be expected.  Bryz, not so sure about.  We gave up a ton of offensive power for a guy who is just barely better than Bobrovsky in terms of save percentage, etc.

The chose Pronger over those two guys.

Pronger has two years left tops, and they might not even be good years. Seems really dumb.

Jagr?  He looked but decent in the Olympics but hasn't been in the NHL for years.  At the age of 39 I'd be surprised if he doesn't fizzle later in the season.

As a rival fan I think feel as conflicted as you Flyer's guys do.  I personally love that Richard's and Carter are gone, leaving the scoring onus on the youngsters and Briere.  Looking at Briere's GP category he could be due to miss significant time this upcoming season.  I don't like the idea of one of the better goaltenders in the league is now a Flyer.  Not sure if Phoenix had little choice but to move Bryz, but he was a big part of them beginning to turn into a relevant team.  Seemed foolish to move him, but I guess we'll find out.

Happy free agency!  I love watching this game unfold every summer.

Pronger is already looking like he won't be back for the start of the season, thanks to back surgery.  Jeese.

Jagr - Not happy with him on my team.  I saw a Jagr jersey in the store the other day and wanted to burn it.  Fuck the penguins.

I got to see some of the prospect camp guys play (in prospect camp, for what that is worth) - Courtier (draft pick in the Carter deal) and Schenn (prospect in the Richards deal), are both pretty solid dudes, although they will need a few years to develop in the NHL.  They both remind me of Richards and Carter, oddly enough.
